You may only need a brake pad replacement, but sometimes you could have to repair or replace the rotors or discs, or calipers.

If you only need brake pads, it typically takes about an hour. you can find the best deal by shopping around and comparing hourly rates. For example, if one shop has an hourly rate of $100, your brake pads will cost $100 in labor. If another shop has an hourly rate of $75, then your brake pads will be $75.

You can do the same process of shopping around if you need other brake repairs too. Rotors typically take about two hours, and calipers take about 3 hours. Doing the calipers takes a longer time because the brake lines need to be bled first.
