When you go to buy a new (or new-to-you) vehicle, you’re faced with so many options that the process can get overwhelming. The first thing you should narrow down is a particular automaker whose cars you can trust. Here are three reasons why you might want to check out the Subaru inventory at your local car dealers:
- Subarus Are Known for Snow Performance
There’s a reason Subaru Outbacks are so popular in towns like Rochester, NY. Subaru cars are known for being good vehicles in snowy conditions. In fact, the Outback, Crosstrek, Legacy and Impreza all made the most recent Forbes list of best cars for snow — that’s four out of 14 on the list total, or about 29%. So if you’re browsing Rochester car dealerships or lots in a similarly snowy locale, the Subaru inventory is a good bet.
- Subarus Are Built to Last
This year, Consumer Reports put both the Subaru Legacy and the Subaru Outback in their list of the 10 cars most likely to last for 200,000 miles, and Subaru’s research shows that 96% of Subaru vehicles manufactured in the last 12 years are still out on the road. So while it’s still important to look at the individual condition of vehicles you find at used Subaru dealers, a used Subaru for sale is more likely to be a good deal than other used cars.
- Subaru Owners Stick Around
Brand loyalty is influenced by a number of factors, of course, but it’s a good sign when car owners keep buying cars from the same automaker over the years. Subaru is known for being an industry leader in brand loyalty; in 2012, the company had a 50.4% loyalty rate, meaning that more than half of Subaru owners went on to purchase another Subaru. There’s no better endorsement than buying a product again.
